Rose Rosina Doolan Rose

It is with great sadness that the Windsor Branch announces the sudden death of one of its loyal members, Rosina Doolan. Rosina joined the branch many years ago when we danced at Oakwood Community Centre where we were known as the White Cockade Scottish Country Dancers. I don't think Rosina was ever on the executive committee, but she was in charge of the 50/50 draw every Wednesday night. She also collected the Zehrs receipts, which she counted up and sent away for money for the branch funds. Rosina always had a smile on her face, even when she wasn't sure which way in the dance she was supposed to be going. She was the perfect hostess and made you feel very welcome in her home. When she was being entertained, she was so full of praise and ever ready with the compliments.

Dancing was not the only interest Rosina had. She was a member of the Windsor Community Choir, she ushered at the Cleary Auditorium, and was an active participant at the Seniors Centre. She was also an active member and lay minister to the sick at her church.

Rosina passed away on Good Friday, April 6th which was also Tartan Day. We will sadly miss this lovely lady and her friendly smile.
